Your Meta ads find business owners who weren't looking for a new accountant. This is about the ones who already are, and are typing it into Google right now.

1 Your new landing pages

Three pages, built around what people actually search.

When someone searches "virtual CFO Perth", the page they land on should say virtual CFO in the headline. So instead of one page for everyone, there's one page for each type of search. Tap through and have a look.

What all three pages share

  • The "once-a-year accountant" message that's already winning on Meta
  • Your real client videos: G & T Finance, Two Slices, Privacy Clo, Altitudia
  • Your 4.9 Google rating and credentials right under the headline
  • A quick tap-through form near the top: four taps, then contact details
  • No menu to wander off through, one clear button, click-to-call on mobile
  • Every enquiry records which search it came from
Try the form See the enquiry email you'd get

The form asks the same things you already ask (your biggest frustration, revenue, Xero, what they need help with), so every enquiry lands in your inbox already qualified, with the Google search they typed and a one-tap call button. These replace the old GHL page for Google traffic. The yellow notes on each page are the few things we need you to confirm before they go live.

2 What's happened so far

Meta has worked. The last Google campaign didn't.

Here's what your two ad accounts have actually done, pulled directly from the platforms.

Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram)

125 leads
at $98.22 each, January to April 2026 ($12,278 spent)

Your client video ads are doing the work:

G & T Finance
54
Two Slices
52
Privacy Clo
9

Leads per ad, all time.

  • The ads have been off since 7 July, so that's three months of leads missed.
  • Cost per lead had started climbing in May ($248) and June ($194) before they stopped, a sign the same videos had been shown too many times. Fresh testimonial videos fix that.

Google ads, September to November 2025

$4,781 spent
220 clicks, $21.73 a click, 0 leads tracked. Set up by your previous provider.

Where the money went:

"tax agent"
$877
"tax agent near me"
$712
"tax agents near me"
$306
"tax consultants near me"
$144

Top searches people typed before clicking the ad.

  • $2,163 (45% of the budget) went on people looking for a tax agent, which almost always means a personal tax return. You don't do those.
  • Every click went to your homepage, not a page built for the search.
  • Google wasn't counting leads properly, so it couldn't learn who was a good click and kept buying the wrong ones.

3 What Perth is searching for

About 1,590 business-owner searches a month, and growing.

These come from Google's own data for people searching from Perth, averaged over the last 12 months.

C. Accountant Perth
970
A. Business accountant
380
B. Virtual CFO / advisor
240

Searches a month in Perth, by landing page. A is highlighted because it's the clearest "I own a business and want a new accountant" search.

What's going up

  • Business accountant searches (page A) are up 18% over the last 6 months compared with the 6 before.
  • "Accountant Perth" searches (page C) are up 12%.
  • Virtual CFO and advisor searches (page B) are down 8%, but those are the highest-value clients, so the page is still worth having.

What we're leaving out

  • "Accountant near me" and "tax agent" searches. Big numbers, but mostly people wanting a personal tax return. That's exactly what burned the last campaign.
  • Industry searches like "hospitality accountant", "accountant for tradies" or "accountant for builders" only get about 10 a month each in Perth. Your industry stories (like Two Slices) work better on Meta, where we can show a cafe owner a cafe owner.

When people search: business accountant searches by month

Page A searches in Perth, October 2025 to September 2026. January is the busiest month, when owners decide to change accountants for the new year.

4 What it could bring in

About 7 leads and 3 new clients a month from $50 a day.

At $50 a day (about $1,500 a month), Google's own forecast for these searches in Perth says about 66 people a month would click your ads, at around $22.88 a click. How many of those fill in the form depends on how well the page converts, so here are three scenarios, and what they turn into at your close rate.

Budget: $50 / day (~$1,500 / month) Clicks: ~66 / month Average cost per click: $22.88
If 5% enquire
3.3
leads a month
$457 per lead
1 to 2 new clients
If 10% enquire
6.6
leads a month (our base case)
$229 per lead
about 3 new clients
If 20% enquire
13.1
leads a month
$114 per lead
5 to 7 new clients

"If 10% enquire" means 10 out of every 100 people who land on the page fill in the form. For comparison, your current GHL page converts about 3.3% of Meta visitors, but people from Google are already looking for an accountant, so they enquire at a much higher rate.

Leads a month. Source: Google Ads Keyword Planner forecast, all three pages in one campaign, Perth WA, phrase match, 30 days from 18 Oct 2026, pulled 17 Oct 2026. Without a bid cap Google spends the same money on fewer, pricier clicks, so the cap matters. The forecast doesn't include negative keywords (words that block your ad from showing, like "tax return" or "personal"), which we'd add to cut out wrong clicks. Last row uses the real cost per click from the Sep to Nov 2025 campaign.

What each lead is worth to you

From Meta, about 60 of your first 100 or so leads became clients. We've used a more careful 40% to 50% close rate.

Your basic package is about $5,000 a year, so each lead is worth roughly $2,000 to $2,500 in first-year fees.

Your clients stay, so years two and three are on top of that.

What $1,500 a month turns into

IfNew clientsCost per clientFirst-year fees
5% enquire1.3 to 1.6$915 to $1,143$6,560 to $8,200
10% enquire2.6 to 3.3$457 to $572$13,120 to $16,400
20% enquire5.2 to 6.6$229 to $286$26,240 to $32,800

Every month of spend. Assumes Google leads close at the same 40% to 50% as Meta leads. We'll check that against real results after 60 days. For comparison, a Meta client currently costs about $196 to $246.

5 Next steps

The plan from here.

Turn Meta back on

Restart the G & T Finance and Two Slices ads, and film a couple of fresh client videos.

You confirm the details

The yellow notes on each landing page: response time, call length, Xero rule.

We finish the pages

Final copy, one consistent enquiry form, and tracking tested with real submissions.

Google goes live early December

At $50 a day, ahead of the January peak. Search terms checked every few days for the first two weeks.

A few things to tidy up on the current site
  • The homepage shows 4.9 stars and the services page shows 5.0. They should match.
  • Virtual CFO has its own page but is missing from the services list.
  • The website contact form screens out non-Xero businesses, the GHL form doesn't. One rule for every form.
  • After someone enquires, tell them when you'll call (e.g. "within one business day"). The first accountant to call back usually wins the client.
